As a Friend of The Inner Arts Center I want to invite you on a special journey...a journey through dreams. Please join me and others as we meet to travel the path of dreamwork in a supportive and creative environment in Old Town Alexandria.

What is the goal of this dream group? Above all, to find the path for each of us to rediscover and stay in touch with: Beauty - Insight - Mystery - Creativity - Renewal. Our dreaming mind can do that for us. We just need to know how to find and recall our dreams.

How will this dream group work?  This dream group will use the top techniques from the top dream group leaders.  Instead of just following the classical methods developed in the early 1970s, we will use a bundle of approaches---classic and new---combined to deepen and broaden our work.

We will meet once a month and through a dedicated, private message board for sharing dreams, we can keep in touch between meetings. Everything has been set-up to provide effective dreamwork for busy lives.

This will not be your mother's/father's dream group.This will be a dynamic dream group. I have heard people say that with classic dream group approaches: "The dream group was nice but not much happened." That means the approach did not encourage members to do something with the power and insights of their dreams. They were just left hanging. In this new dream group, all members will be encouraged to use dreams as a guide to living. Dreams and dreaming will be discussed in the context of how members can move forward with: their goals, their enjoyment of life, and the refinement of who they are and what they want to be. The Dynamic Dreamwork Group will be a dream group and a support group.

We will look at all types of dreaming---from night dreams to daydreams to lucid dreams. We dream in a circle; we have night dreams, of course, we daydream, we can learn to have lucid dreams, and we can learn to explore what I call waking dreams, that experience of being awake and near sleep at the same time.  Our dream group will provide support and training for experiencing and learning from this full circle of dreaming.

Fees? The Dynamic Dreamwork Group will be supported by individual donations made at each meeting ($5 would be helpful). If you want to take classes that support what is discussed at the dream group, that would be great. There will be a full range of classes appropriate for furthering one's knowledge of dreamwork available at The Inner Arts Center.

Will this work for you? Come to the first meeting and find out. I will provide a quick introduction on the why and how of the dream group. If you like what you see, join the group. If not, that's fine, perhaps later, when the group reopens for some new members, you can join then.

I hope you will give this a try. Remember, dreams provide: beauty, insight, mystery, creativity, and renewal. Who couldn't use more of that?
