Gary Goodwin Picks
- Dreaming & Active Imagination
This is a great little book by Robert A. Johnson covering the essential Jungian approaches to dream work and active imagination. In fact, one half of the book covers dream work with the other half on active imagination.
Another great little book. Bosnak has made an important contribution to dream work by getting dream group participants into active imagination before they begin work on a dream.
This a 6 part audio program that concentrates not on decoding dreams but fully honoring them. An important contribution.
Unfortunately, only the hardback (expensive) version of this book is currently in print. This is a shame because Ullman packs in everything he has discovered from leading dream groups for 30 years. Check used book outlets as well.
Taylor covers his faith in the importance of dreams and dream work well here. Provides a clear look at his approach (similar to Ullman's).
Similar to Dream Work but lighter in tone and more personal in its telling.
Here, Taylor tells all about the essential Jungian concepts that can appear in our dreams. Covers all of the Jungian basics very well.
This the best book I know of on the Theatrical Analysis of dreams.
The title tells it all. The expert, Krippner, leads us through chapter by from lucid dreaming to ESP dreams. Very clearly written and should be the first place to turn to when experiencing an extraordinary dream.

If you are interested in what Jung said about active imagination, here is most of his writing in one spot. There are other writings that would have been a good addition but this is a good collection.
Fun to work with, the thinking is that people from around the world used various positions to jump-start their active imagination practice. In fact, various positions may determine what images/feelings come up.
